If you have an existing Will that you have previously written with a lawyer, or other Will writer, then our service does not allow you to make a simple update to that Will. We would actually recommend that you step through our service to prepare a new document.

Creating a new Will only takes about 15-20 minutes, and costs $49.95. But it will be an opportunity for you to make sure that the Will still reflects your current situation and wishes. By writing a new Will, you also ensure that the new document complies with the most recent laws. Our service is continually updated, and any document that you create will be up-to-date with current legislation.

Our service may also prompt you to think about other items not currently in your existing Will. For example, care for pets or charitable bequests. By stepping through our service you may learn more about your Will, than you did when preparing your previous Will.

If you prepared your existing Will using our service, updating the Will is easy. Just return to www.uslegalwills.com and click on Member Login at the top of the page. Enter your User ID and password, and then proceed to your member home page.

If you have an active account with us, then you simply click on MyWill and then "create or modify your Will". Jump to the section that you wish to change, and make your updates. You can then Exit and return to the MyWill main menu. From here, download and print your new document.

The new document must be signed in the presence of two witnesses in order to make it a legal Last Will and Testament. Please follow the instructions that come with your printed Will for more specific detail on who qualifies as a witness.

If you previously prepared your Will using our service, but your account is not up-to-date, you can re-enable the account by logging in and clicking on Upgrades. Scroll down and click on one of the membership extension options. You can add one year for $11.95, or any bundle:

5 years      -    $24.95
10 years    -    $34.95
25 years    -    $74.95
Lifetime    -    $124.95

Once your account is re-enabled, you will be able to update your document by following the instructions above. Again, you would need to download and print the final document, and then sign it in the presence of two witnesses to create a legal Last Will and Testament.
